Who the heck are they?

So, you're probably wondering, "who the heck are they?"

Well, 12 years ago a really hot mechanic from the city met a pretty girl from a small town, on a blind date at hooters! My cousin and his friend insisted we meet, although apprehensive at first, I loved his humor, his carefree attitude, love for his rose bushes and nurturing his home and yard, oh and he was easy on the eyes. We became inseparable, fell madly in love and got engaged, then married a year later in 2007.

In 2009 we welcomed our first son, our sweet boy was born healthy for the most part and our jump into parenthood was started. We jumped in with two feet and became well versed in babywearing, postpartum depression and car seat safety. Thankfully both Matt and I were well wired to nurture and love, they don't send a manual for that like they do car seats and moby wraps. Two and a half years later, after another rough pregnancy we welcomed our second son, a sweet chubby baby who loved to cuddle and nurse from mama. He was colicky for the first few months and thankfully daddy loved to rock, shush and be a rockstar partner, while learning how to run his other baby, his brand new business. Matt opened an auto shop in 2011, just a few weeks before we welcomed our little guy and he was really juggling it all, and so was I, pottytraining an unruly toddler with a newborn, trying to train a new dog, run a household and figure out finances with the new business.

 Whew, we've made it, our boys are now 5 and 8, I've opened a business as well and again I'm spinning the wheel of volunteering with a nonprofit, volunteering at the elementary school, keeping tabs of our three dogs, (not) keeping the house clean and business ownership. So, that's who we are on paper, now for who we are in real life.. Matt is a witty mid thirties (still hot mechanic) who is absolutely hilarious, rarely serious, he is a workaholic whether it be at home or work. He loves working on his old vehicles, enjoys playing ball with the kids and driving me insane.  I'm a makeup loving, furniture refurbishing, garden loving woman who shall remain ageless. I love animals, I'm on the board of a local spay/neuter organization and absolutely love people with the same passion as me. I love to cook, hate to clean and drink way too much coffee and not enough wine. B is 8, he's a science and Lego loving kiddo who loves to read and is a rule follower like his mama. He's hilarious and so kind, he has my love for animals and my passion for their well being. A is 5, he is my wild child, he has a mind that wanders, a gypsy soul and loves to cuddle. He's a rule breaker, a dinosaur impersonating, sometimes too loud, little boy with a heart of gold. Welcome to our life of chaos, adventure and color...what I can't promise is to be grammatically and politically correct but what I can promise is to be raw, honest, hilarious and genuine, this is Being Buckingham ❤️
